    Blogs: The annual camping trip for the Lohans was a great experience for the students. We camped at Cave Lake outside of Ely… the weather was beautiful and we did get to eat fish caught by the few lucky ones… enough to feed us all… the only tiresome thing was the drive… 4 and a half hours…

    On Tuesday July 28th… the school played host to 35 day campers (ages 6 thru 11) on a field trip with the City of Las Vegas… We entertained and demonstrated for 2 hours to a very enthusiastic group… they even got to participate in a few basic routines for kids…

    Lots of Leo birthdays this month…
    August 8 – Saturday – Blue Jay’s wife Shanya is celebrating her birthday with a bash at her place… we’ll have to squeeze in our wishes in between the tournament schedule…

    August 15 – Saturday, we’ll be celebrating our school mascot (Baby Xavier) 2nd birthday at Dashi’s place… should be fun…

    Lion Dance for Channel 5 – 7AM to promote the Saturday International Food Festal at Henderson on April 18.

    Friday – April 17
    Fundraiser for Lohan School put on by the Kung Fu boys: “Kung Fu Hip Hop” which is a competition for various breakdancers & hip hop from different high schools.

    Saturday – April 18 (3 events)
    1) International Food Festival at Henderson at the cultural center. Will be featuring a parade and demonstrations from several ethnic groups.
    10:30am parade starts – 12:30pm we perform our demonstrations on stage.
    2) 2:30PM – Cultural event for Wells Fargo at Bonanza and Lamb in the parking lot. We’ll be doing the Lion dance and demonstrations.
    3) 4:30PM – Multi Cultural event at UNLV at the amphitheater outside of the Student Union Building.

    Saturday – April 25
    World Tai Chi Day – 10AM. The 1st official World Tai Chi day in Las Vegas, at the west end of Lorenzi Park – 3343 W. Washington Ave -in the rose garden. It is organized by Grandmaster Yalu Huang (Chi Gung) and Master Bilal Amin. Several schools will be attending. Lohan School will be opening the event with a lion dance and later be doing demonstrations.

    Sunday – April 26
    5PM – Lohan School Annual Banquet – This year it will be held at the school and it will be potluck… nice way to gather current and former Lohans.

    Thursday – April 30
    Lion Dance/Demo at the Keith and Karen High School – 6:30PM
