One of the most important training and cultural aspects of the Chinese martial arts is the Lion Dance. It is a valued training method, and is also a great source of historical information in regards to kung fu. Lion dancers are always kung fu practioners because it requires the dancers to develop strong stances, since the lion head is heavy and the tail position is awkward. The dances can also be lengthy, and further requires the dancers to possess excellent physical conditioning and stamina. Lion dance classes are scheduled according to circumstances.
